Adult Education
triplep.jpgAdult education courses are available.  Working with Birmingham Metropolitan College, we will help you gain a qualification, giving you valuable skills for life. Ante-natal Information Sessions
This is a four week course aimed at first time Parents.

Breastfeeding Support
We can offer support to mums wanting to breastfeed, or just wanting to find out more. We have a number of electronic breast pumps available to loan out free of charge. For more information please contact Lakeside Children's Centre on: 0121 386 6150.

Childminding
Would you like advice or help finding a childminder? Or are you interested in becoming a childminder? If so call Karen Barber, Family Support Childminder Co-ordinator on 0121 554 6036.

Coffee Morning
We hold a coffee morning on Tuesday, 9.30-11.30am at Lakeside Children's Centre. It's free to attend and a creche and refreshments are provided, plus a different activity is normally on offer each week. Everyone is welcome - just drop in on the day - or call us on 0121 386 6150 to find out more.

Holiday Activities

Home Visits
Our Family Support/Outreach workers make home visits to families living within our catchment area to register new families with a child under five and families who have had a new baby.

Little Chatterboxes Stay & Play
The group is aimed at children over 2 years old where English is not their first language or where support is needed with communication and language.  We encourage communication skills through fun and interactive sessions.

Nutrition Services
Parry Barr Locality Children's Centres encourage healthy eating and can provide information and advice on nutrition and diet. The centre promotes healthy eating from a young age and also supports initiatives like the '5-a-day' scheme.

SEND Targeted Stay & Play
Fun sensory play for children with a disability or addition need.

Stay and Play Groups

Come along, join in the fun and help your child learn through play.  Open to children up to the age of five.

Under 1's Group

The group is designed to help you talk about pregnancy, birth, early parenthood, and give you chance to meet other local parents.  For babies up to the age of one.
